The View

One of the best things - no, make that the only good thing - about driving to seminary in the wee morning hours is that you really get a great look at the sky. For example, we've seen Venus and Saturn several times this year and you can bet your life I wouldn't drag my butt out of bed just to go out and see those planets so it's good that I'm up at unreasonable hours. Or more accurately, it's a good thing there's something great to see when I'm up that early.

This morning, though, was a perfect example. As I was driving Justin to seminary we were heading west and the full moon was just huge in the sky. It was a cool yellow color and was nestled perfectly in between two mountain peaks and it just looked awesome. Then on the way home, heading east, the sun was rising and the sky was a pretty orangy color fading into blue over the downtown cityscape. That's what I call the best of both worlds - the sunrise and moon (set?) over mountains and city. It was fabulous!
