Some Things Never Change

I'm researching colonial schools and came across this poem which made me laugh:

Multiplication is mie vexation
And Division quite as bad,
The Golden rule is mie stumbling stule,
And Practice makes me mad.

That poem is circa 1570 (thus the interesting spelling).  I guess kids will be kids.  :)

iMac

I got a new iMac.  I'm trying to love it but it's an adjustment.  And the internet is sooo slow on it which they tell me is due to my connection but that really doesn't make any sense cause my Dell was fast and my mom's computer is fast on the same DSL connection.  And I can't check my hotmail on this computer cause apparently mac and msn don't want to talk to each other - this is a newer issue that mac is starting to hear from customers.  So, the thing is, that I paid waaay too much money for this computer to have it be so mediocre in some areas!  I'm a little frustrated.

Tales from the Ager

Jusitn needed new shoes and he had to go to a mall far from hom cause their BC Surf & Sport is bigger and thus way better than the one in our mall. So, we dropped him and his friend off on the way to my sisters house and said we'd pick them up on the way back. About 30 minutes after we got to her house Justin called and said he got his shoes and they were ready to go. Um, sorry, we just got here so you'll have to wait awhile - perhaps you can browse some more. (He had money to buy shirts but apparently the large, cool mall has no cool shirts.) We were taking entirely too long so they called his friend's mom to come get them. In the mean time they climbed onto the roof of the mall. The roof? Yes, the roof. Why would one do that you might wonder. I wondered that too and I still don't have a satisfactory answer. Is it just that I'm not a boy or I just wasn't ever adventurous in the same way? I swear this is why I have too many gray hairs. Teenagers do everything they can to age their parents which is why I shall refer to his escapades as Tales from the Ager. Sigh.
